About

I’m Monique and I love to travel. I’ve been going on adventures with my family since my childhood. Now, I want to explore on my own. Planning a trip can be daunting, especially an extensive one. I’m going to share my experiences here from planning to what happens after my returns. Hopefully you will be able to glean some insight or inspiration to make planning your next trip a bit easier.

Here’s some things you should know about me that will probably help explain some of my traveling propensities and tactics:

I have a wonderful boyfriend named Matt. We’ve been dating for over nine years and we both love to travel. When I go on a trip with him, we split the planning load. Besides helping to relieve traveling stress, Matt is also hilarious, adventurous, a cigar connoisseur, and my best friend. For our latest trip, one of his goals was to craft a perfect beard for all our photos together.

I am a planning fiend especially when it comes to transportation logistics. Getting to and from a location smoothly is my goal. What we do at the location is more flexible.

I have a Masters degree in Museum Studies. Museums are a big part of my travels because of that and due to my curiosity. Aquariums are my favorite. Matt loves art and animals too so he is more than willing to go with me.

Matt and I love food, markets, and wandering. A lot. Those activities are a big part of our travels. Wandering is cheap too so that’s a built in bonus.

The devil is in the details. I pay close attention to them.

Researching is my natural state. I want to know before I go. Both Matt and I research a lot.

Please note that all photographs on this site are mine. If you would like to use them, please contact me about use and/or be sure to give me credit for my work.
